The body of a preacher, Oscar Lambey, was found on the grounds of the Seventh Day Adventist Church on Wilson Street. He was stabbed on the chest and back sometime last night and there are signs that robbery led to his murder. The church caretaker found Lambey’s body just before seven this morning. News Five’s Isani Cayetano reports.


The unresponsive body of twenty-eight-year-old Oscar Lambey was discovered this morning on Wilson Street with what appeared to be multiple stab wounds. Lambey, described by his sibling as a devotee who dedicated his life to spreading the word of God, is the latest murder victim in Belize City. It is unclear what transpired overnight. What is known, however, is that sometime around six a.m. police responded to the aforesaid location where they found Lambey’s remains.
