Fast-track to Romanism
Editorial | Advent Messenger
There are many in America who see the strife and contention and gridlock in the different political parties. Many are aware that there are problems in the schools, in the home, in the work place, in the church and in society in general. And instead of looking to God or to His word for solutions, many are looking to Pope Francis to help save America when he comes to visit our nation this year. Can you imagine this? People are looking to Rome to save America!
The Washington Post published an article on February 6, 2015 entitled "Could Pope Francis Save Congress?" The article goes on to describe that 80% of Americans view Pope Francis favorably. Not even our own President or our US Congressmen are that popular. The article goes on to describe how the "super Pope" will have a greater economical impact ($418 million) when he visits Philadelphia than any city that hosts the super bowl.
The world doesn't realize that they are creating a greater crisis by turning to Rome. Instead of finding solutions, America will be catapulted into the greatest political and spiritual crisis that will result in the implementation of the mark of the beast. Our leaders have been blinded by the tremendous political power and popularity of the Roman Church. They are drunk on the wine of Babylon or else they would be sounding the note of warning.
"Our land is in jeopardy. The time is drawing on when its legislators shall so abjure the principles of Protestantism as to give countenance to Romish apostasy. The people for whom God has so marvelously wrought, strengthening them to throw off the galling yoke of popery, will by a national act [Sunday Law] give vigor to the corrupt faith of Rome, and thus arouse the tyranny which only waits for a touch to start again into cruelty and despotism" Spirit of Prophecy, vol. 4, p. 410.
We must move forward with sharing the Three Angels’ Messages. Don’t let fear keep you from distributing literature! We must not hide our colors. The world must have an opportunity to hear the final warning message before the last crisis breaks upon this world. Victory will attend our efforts as we seek to save souls. Our work will never be in vain!
"In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good” (Ecclesiastes 11:6).
