Martial Law, the Mark of the Beast, and Executive Order #13603

In March 16, 2012 President Obama quietly signed Executive Order #13603 called the "National Defense ResourcesPreparedness." This order effectively calls for the suspension of every constitutional right so that martial law can be enacted. This federal policy allows for the "allocation" and "acquisition" (confiscation) of all food and water supplies during a time of national emergency. This Executive Order empowers the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Commerce to manage these "allocated" resources for the federal government.

 
"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name" (Revelation 13:15-17).

Food and water are the most basic elements for sustaining life. According to prophecy, hunger and thirst will be used as a means to drive the masses to comply with any government demand. This nation has never seen such extreme measures to control our food and water supplies as we are now seeing. These are the kinds of policies that were seen during the communist countries during the cold war when food and water were used to control the people.

Is this Executive Order laying the groundwork so that soon "violent hands" will confiscate our food and water? Is the following statement describing our nations militarized swat teams that will show up without warning and take everything we have?

"The Lord has shown me in vision, repeatedly, that it is contrary to the Bible to make any provision for our temporal wants in the time of trouble. I saw that if the saints have food laid up by them, or in the fields, in the time of trouble when sword, famine, and pestilence are in the land, it will be taken from them by violent hands, and strangers would reap their fields. Then will be the time for us to trust wholly in God, and He will sustain us. I saw that our bread and water would be sure at that time, and we should not lack, or suffer hunger" (Maranatha 181).

If you are trying to enslave a people then this is certainly the way to do it. This modern generation of American consumers are so ready to give up their liberties in exchange for food and water. According to prophecy, they will be even more willing to receive the mark of the beast so that they can buy and sell and eat and drink and be merry. Besides, who in their right mind is going to allow their loved ones to starve, right? This is reasoning of the modern-day, overweight American who cannot see beyond his or her next personal, self-fulfilling, non-temperate, gluttonous lifestyle. This nation is ripe for a mark of the beast. Almost the entire nation would instantaneously capitulate. But what the world doesn't know is that this plan to manipulate the food and water in order to enforce the mark of the beast will actually create the greatest food and water crisis this world has ever known.

"The season of distress and anguish before us will require a faith that can endure weariness, delay, and hunger,—a faith that will not faint, though severely tried" (Great Controversy 621).

And all those who have lived a life of ease without any hardships or troubles will fold under the coming trials. There is crisis coming in which millions will be starving for want of food and water. It is during this kind a crisis that the little freedoms we have left will be forever gone and only those who accept the mark of the beast will be given the promise of rationed food, if anything at all. A crisis will be created and a policy will be implemented that will attempt to totally control everything and every person. This is what seems to be in the planning stages under this "national security" Executive Order #13603. But God will still be in control! One this is certain, God will not allow those who are faithful to Him to perish from the lack of food during the coming crisis.

"That God who cared for Elijah in the time of famine, will not pass by one of His self-sacrificing children. He who has numbered the hairs of their head, will care for them, and in days of famine they will be satisfied. While the wicked are perishing all around them for want of bread, their bread and water will be sure" (1 Testimonies 173, 174).

Executive Order #13603 is a policy that gives the federal government the unlawful right to enter peoples' home and steal their food and water during times of crisis. This is legalized theft. The ruthless, power-hungry ruling class will do this in order to defend and protect Rome's Sunday-law policies. This law will eventually be directed against God's faithful, Sabbath-keeping people. But praise God that we will not be left alone during the coming crisis. If we are faithful, God will be faithful to fulfill this promise to us: Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth (Revelation 3:10).
