Pentecostal Leaders Visit Pope Francis to Discuss Unity
Advent Messenger | Editorial
Evangelicals, Charismatics, and Pentecostals are moving closer into full unity with the Pope. Bible prophecy is being fulfilled. Rome is about to unleash its Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement upon the world. Anglican Bishop Tony Palmer, Pentecostal Mega-church pastor Kenneth Copeland, and Evangelical Charismatic pastors John and Carol Arnott, three of the biggest names in the tongues speaking, spiritualistic movement, along with a group of Pentecostal leaders, went to the Vatican to meet Pope Francis.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.” Revelation 16:13, 14.
Pope Francis is on a mission to fulfill his role in uniting all the churches under one head—his own. He is doing more than any of his former predecessors to galvanize the Protestant churches with Rome. Serious changes are about to take place. Spiritualism will driving the world to worship the beast (Rev. 13:3, 4).
Rome’s charismatic renewal movement is described in the book of Revelation 16:13 as “three unclean spirits like frogs.” This movement is sweeping the world and makes distinction between denominational lines. This so-called “tongue-speaking,” “faith-healing,” “prophesying,” “dancing,” and “meditation” frenzy is being
called the final work of the “Holy Spirit” that will “supposedly” unite all the churches into one body. That body of course is the Vatican New World Order. Pope Francis has made this his top priority.
Sitting around a table breaking bread and drinking wine, we see the preparations being finalized that will usher in a spiritualistic movement that will lead men to accept the antichrist. This is a mission to bring all people back to Mother Rome.
The wine here is symbolized by the wine of Babylon (Rev. 17:1-5) which is causing the world to be drunk. Is it just a coincidence that part of the Pentecostal manifestations is to be “drunk in the Spirit” in which people talk and act drunk?
All these manifestation are substituting the study of God’s word. These men have rejected Bible truth and are substitute their lack of truth with a charismatic, meditation, tongue-speaking, carnival atmosphere so as to deceive the people to cause them to think that God is still with them. God has warned us that this would happen. We see prophecy once again being fulfilled to the letter:
“The line of distinction between professed Christians and the ungodly is now hardly distinguishable. Church-members love what the world loves, and are ready to join with them; and Satan determines to unite them in one body, and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of Spiritualism. Papists, who boast of miracles as a certain sign of the true church, will be readily deceived by this wonder-working power; and Protestants, having cast away the shield of truth, will also be deluded. Papists, Protestants, and worldlings will alike accept the form of godliness without the power, and they will see in this union a grand movement for the conversion of the world, and the ushering in of the long-expected millennium. Through Spiritualism, Satan appears as a benefactor of the race, healing the diseases of the people, and professing to present a new and more exalted system of religious faith.” The Great Controversy, pp. 588, 589.
By absorbing the Charismatics and the Pentecostal movements into their ranks, Rome will have created the groundwork for sweeping in the rest of the world under her delusions.
We are living in dangerous times. Satan is marshaling his forces. May God help us to be faithful watchmen and standard-bearers and proclaim to the world with power God’s message.
“And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.” Revelation 18:4
