Former Adventist Lay Preacher in England charged with sexual offenses against children
A former Nottingham lay preacher has been charged with a number of sexual offences against children.
Samuel Nugent, of Lyn Gilzean Court, off St Ann's Well Road, is accused of four counts of rape and six counts of indecent assault.
They relate to three female victims all aged under 16 at the time of the alleged offences between 1970 and 1981.
At that time, Nugent was a lay preacher and church elder at the Seventh-Day Adventists Church in St Ann's.
He will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, May 12.
