SDA Churches to hold free funeral services for Orlando Shooting victims

Sda churches hold funerals services for shooting victims

A number of Central Florida churches have offered free funeral services to families of victims in the mass shooting at Pulse nightclub. Florida Hospital Church in downtown Orlando, Metro Church in Winter Springs, Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church in Apopka and Forest City Spanish Adventist Church in Altamonte Springs have all volunteered to conduct the services at no cost.

Pastor Seth Cain of Metro Church posted an online video message for the victims’ families, telling them his congregation wanted to do more than pray for them.

“This was not a part of God’s plan,” he said. “So if there’s anything we can do for you to help you through this time, please let us know.”

Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist extended its offer in a Facebook post, adding that funeral services can be streamed live online for people who can’t be there in person.

Florida Hospital Church also provides live streaming.

Forest City Spanish Adventist can conduct funeral services in Spanish, according to another Facebook post.

Families can contact Florida Hospital Church at 407-898-0451. Metro Church can be reached at 407-366-7714. The phone number for Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist is 407-869-0680, and the number for Forest City Spanish Adventist is 407-293-2971.
